Foundation is currently under development

To reach economically disadvantaged businesses and non-profits that are run by or founded by women and provide them with needed assistance that will improve their self-sufficiency, self confidence, empowerment and decision-making. Additionally, we intend on stimulating and contributing to long term economic growth, maintaining and creating jobs while at the same time increasing household incomes.

The Bettina Carey Foundation is being created for micro-enterprises and non-profits to access talent, skills, energy, equipment and capital, so that these enterprises operate more successfully. The Bettina Carey Foundation is founded on micro-lending principles requiring borrowers to successfully complete entrepreneurial training: Next Level Street Smarts: For Successful Entrepreneurs or other qualifying programs.

DONATE your time, talent, skills and abilities; your new or used equipment, or help collateralize a small business loan for a small business.

The Bettina Carey Foundation has three components:

The Bettina Carey Energy Bank is a source of time, talent and skill contributed by successful entrepreneurs for qualifying micro-enterprises to receive coaching, marketing, branding, public relations and communications services provided by local businesses for free or at a significantly reduced cost. We encourage our entire membership to consider donating and/or contributing their time, skills and talent to a worthy business or not for profit.

The Bettina Carey Equipment Bank is a source for qualifying micro-enterprises to access used and sometimes new equipment that has been contributed by local business owners and national corporations.

The Bettina Carey Micro-fund is a special source of funds that has been created to fund qualifying micro-enterprises, so that they may become financially self-sufficient. The fund is both a source of money that is gifted and/or granted to qualifying businesses for entrepreneurial training; a specific purchase of needed equipment or materials, or; a fund to collateralize qualifying businesses that have successfully completed requirements from the participating loan agency. Additionally, we are investigating “Matched Savings Instruments” and Individual Development Accounts (IDA’s).
